Meet Chris
I was late diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 46. I wish I had received my ADHD diagnosis earlier in my life, as whilst getting a clinical diagnosis doesn’t and hasn’t excused any of my previous behaviour, it certainly goes some way to explaining it.
Having ADHD has negatively affected me in so many ways over the years, mainly because I didn’t understand why I felt ‘that way’ or behaved ‘this way’ or why certain situations made me act or feel the way I did.
I have been sober and active within the AA fellowship for over 6 years. I have met so many people in AA who are neurodivergent. ADHD and the links to addiction are something that I have a vast amount of lived experience and interest in.
Having ADHD, or being neurodivergent, doesn’t mean it’s all negative, far from it. Some of the most wonderful, creative and vital people who have ever lived are or were neurodivergent.
As an ADHD coach, I want to help you achieve all the things in your life that ADHD may be preventing you from doing. Whether it’s issues with your work life, family life, or personal life, I believe that with positive, forward-thinking coaching, the tools and goals that we put in place together, tailored for you, can lead to these adjustments having a positive effect in all aspects of your life.
As a coach, I want you to face and acknowledge how ADHD may be affecting you negatively, as well as explore how ADHD can be used as a superpower. This way, through coaching, we can reframe how you see ADHD and how it affects you.
