Angela Kelly - Psychotherapist, Counsellor and SEN Advisor

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).  I have extensive experience of working with both children and families with or without a diagnosis of ASD. I can work one to one with young people or with the family in a supportive way to discuss and resolve any ongoing problems or difficulties they may be expereincing.  I am empathic, honest and fully understand the challenges that living with autism can bring to a family, but also with support, that life with autism can be fun. I also work for youth counselling service Heads Together and am a columnist for the very popular website, Special Needs Jungle where I have written about the wider aspects of how good mental health is imperative for our young people and how we can make steps forward in achieving this.  I am very knowledgeable about the support available for families who have disability within their family and can help and support with practical tasks such as completing DLA/PIP forms and support and guidance in applying for EHCPS. I am told I am warm and empathic and this is what is relayed to me by those that have experienced either me or the posts I have written. I am down to earth and respectfully honest. I have previously been Co-Chair of Surrey's Parent Carer Forum, Family Voice Surrey and I am also an experienced parent representative and advocate and have undertaken work at the Studio ADHD Centre, Parent Partnership and Action for Carers. I also enjoy public speaking about the highs and lows of raising children with disabilities.
