Accredited ASC & PDA Training Programmes

 Our training is offered at Level 2 (Basic) and Level 3 (Advanced) and is suitable for anyone who works with learners with autism.  The training is accredited by OCNLR ( Open College Network - London Region) and can be run in-house or at our regular training events which are held around the country. The cost includes all training materials, registration fees and certfication.

The Level 2 and Level 3 Programmes are worth 3 credits. When completed they provide the learner with a thorough understanding of the needs of learners with Autistic Spectrum conditions.  The Level 3 programme is a more indepth programme and requires aproximately 8 hours of pre and post course work to obtain the qualification.   


Cost per person for in-house training starts at £135.00 per person.
Cost per person at our open events is £285.00 per person.

 

The Level 2 (Basic) Programme comprises of the following Learning Outcomes: 

  • LO1 - Understand what Autistic Spectrum conditions are and how they impact on individuals and their behaviour.

  • LO2 - Be able to identify the impact that Autism has on a person.

  • LO3 - Be able to reduce the impact that autism has on learning.

  • LO4 Be able to identify key principles of positive behaviour management.

The Level 3 Advanced Programme comprises of the following Learning Outcomes: 

  • LO1 - Understand what Autistic Spectrum conditions are and how they impact on individuals and their behaviour.

  • LO2 - Be able to identify the impact that Autism has on a person.

  • LO3 - Be able to reduce the impact that autism has on learning.

  • LO4  Be able to identify key principles of positive behaviour management.

  • LO 5 –Be able to support with transition.

Level 2 Accredited Training - Supporting Children, Teenagers and Young Adults with Pathological Demand Avoidance comprises the  folllowing Learning  Outcomes:

  •  LO1 - Understand the meaning of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).

  •  LO2 -   Understand the impact PDA has on a child, teenager or young adult and how they might be supported.

  •  LO3 - Understand the key principles of positive behaviour management when working with children, teenagers and young adults with PDA.

  •  LO4 - Understand the effects that PDA has on learning and how to reduce the impact of this.
